NDT Services and Consulting

Radiographic Testing (RT)

  • Radiographic inspection is used extensively on castings and weldments, particularly where there is a critical need to ensure freedom from internal flaws.
  • Suitable for metals and a variety of other materials including structural concrete.
  • Technicians are able to develop the x-ray film on-site for immediate evaluation.
  • Strict procedures are designed for maximum safety.

 Ultrasonic Testing (UT)Ultrasonic Testing

  • Ultrasonic flaw detection for defects located in the weld or base metal materials.  This inspection will detect cracks, slag inclusions, incomplete fusion or penetration.
  • Used for general thickness and pipe wall thinning rate surveys.
  • Performed only by specially certified technicians

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

  • Highly flexible form of large or small-item inspection of ferrous materials.
  • Very economical in comparison to its alternatives.
  • Use of fluorescent magnetic particles and a black light increase the sensitivity of the examination.

Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)

  • Used on nonporous metals and other materials.
  • Fluorescent dye is used for increased visibility and inspection accuracy.

Visual Testing (VT)

  • A test method which relies on the detection of certain features of a material using the human eye.
  • Used to check for surface defects in base material and for weld profile inspection

We offer Procedural Development in all NDT Methods (RT, UT, MT, PT, VT) through written practice and recognized written NDT Procedure.
