Producing Geometry You Can Trust

We've had reverse engineering performed elsewhere with acceptable results, but you folks are tops! You'll be our first choice for any future work.

Micro-Scanning Services

Extreme Accuracy

Our service uses a precision confocal sensor that has a resolution of 0.01 micron in the z-axis for measuring 2D contours and 3D topography. Micro-scanning is most often used to capture fine topography that needs to be scaled to a larger size without loss of detail. It is used to calculate surface area within an area for defining surfaces for osseointegration. Micro-scanning is also very effective for mapping wear characteristics of implantable devices or machine components.

This service is provided using proven laser technology to capture points to less than 1 micron on 3-dimensional position.  Target objects can be up to 7.5" square.  Laser spot size is 2 microns.

Our micro scanning services offer the highest levels of accuracy on objects up to 7.5 inches square using a precision confocal sensor with a resolution of 0.01 micron on the Z-axis. Laser technology combined with computer driven X and Y translated stages allow QC to capture points to less than one micron on 3D position.

Once 3D topography is captured, angles, heights, and positions can be measured to fully define even the smallest geometries.  3D point clouds can be exported and surfaced for use in Pro-E or SolidWorks platforms or can simply be viewed as a 3D topographical map. 2D profile output

A 2D profile of the points can be displayed to provide more definition by sectioning. These results also translate to an estimate of non-contact surface finish.

The data can be output as a 2D color map with X and Y accuracies of less than 1 micron.
