Producing Geometry You Can Trust

QC provided an engineer for our project who did a great job of collecting the dimensional data for the parts to be reverse engineered, creating the CAD models, and producing prints for manufacturing. He kept in regular contact with me throughout the project, allowing us to quickly resolve issues as they arose. He was also very responsive when asked to make changes to the prints. Overall, a superior job.

Reverse Engineering: Geometry You Can Trust

Request a Scanning Quote

QC specializes in the reverse engineering of complex precision tooling and product geometries to support precision tooling. We capture an artifact’s precise dimensional data—whether microscopic or large; whether new or vintage products. Then we produce CAD models that are an accurate representation of the original. We accomplish this through:

We realize that tooling often needs to be developed rapidly. Therefore, precision and rapid response are at the core of the services we provide. Our engineers strive for the highest standards of quality and share a mindset that focuses on solving problems, even when they are extraordinarily challenging.

The QC Group has been performing reverse engineering services since 1992. That experience has developed into a robust process designed to first capture a customer’s project goals and objectives before geometry capture actually begins. This is a critical first step in reverse engineering. What we deliver to you is dependent on the geometry’s end use. We want to first understand your project needs.

Our ISO 17025-2005 accredited dimensional inspection services, in combination with reverse engineering, ensure that the engineering services you receive are what you would expect from the best of A2LA labs.Reverse Engineering comparison to scan

We have been serving the quality field for so long, that rapid response and friendly service are part of who we are. Your engineering project will be handled by professionals who know product development and manufacturing – and the importance of getting accurate results to you on time.

Finally, quality verification steps are used throughout the process to ensure that your captured geometry is developed into a CAD model that accurately represents the original artifact. These verification steps include computer aided inspection (CAI) or computer aided verification (CAV). The finished product is then subjected to a final scrutiny by another engineer seasoned in precision engineering before you receive the results.
